A database of the thermophysical and chemical properties necessary for moulding process simulations.

In the area of Thermic Engineering it is more and more common to do IT simulations of the processes of melting and moulding, but for the results to be satisfactory you need precise information on the thermophysical and physiochemical properties of the materials. This is exactly what Thermo-Prop offers.

The Thermo-Prop database is the result of vast works of investigation done by the Finnish Institute of Thermic Engineering, in collaboration with the National Academy of Sciences and SGTE (the Scientific Group of ThermoData in Europe).

The wide range of data avilable in Thermo-Prop includes the automatic calculations of the following aspects: thermophysical properties (Gibbs energy, entropy, specific heat, thermic conductivity and density) of all the metallic elements of the periodic table, and also the alloys of aluminium, copper and iron; physiochemical properties (viscosity and superficial tension) of the metals and their corresponding binary alloys, etc. Also, it has a heat tranfer module to determine the coefficients of heat transfer.
